About a year ago I saw this idea for melting crayons on a blog. I would tell you where, but I honestly don't remember. So, a year ago I headed to the dollar store to get 2 hand towels and a cheese grater. I already had a large box of well used broken crayons from my childhood to use.
I finally did the project.
Elizabeth helped me sort the colors ....
And peel all the wrapping off.(fyi: I didn't even come close to using all of these.)
Then once the kids were in bed (E is too little to handle a grater and an iron)I set up shop.
If you don't know the next steps... well, just ask I guess. I think most people have done this before.
Then I cut out the shapes I wanted.....
This one shows off the pretty flowers Jer gave me. :)
We had a ROCKIN' VALENTINES' DAY PARTY the on Sat. the 12th. I sadly didn't get any pictures. HOWEVER, rest assured that we had a great time, with TONS of AMAZING food, (my friends are the best cooks!) and GREAT company! It was a BLAST!Here are some of the decorations that I did with the crayon melts(that's what I'm naming this project)

And with the rest of the hearts we made E's Valentines for her class.
